Gruber-Röschitz
Gruber-Röschitz is a family-run winery located in the Weinviertel region of Austria. It is known for its biodynamic and sustainable approach to winemaking, focusing on high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the area.
SR was commissioned to design the new winery, creating a visitor center that seamlessly integrates a tasting room, shop, and event space within a dynamic, multi-purpose environment. The design approach blends tradition and innovation, crafting a brand experience that immerses visitors in the essence of the product.
The winery is designed not just for production but for an immersive visitor experience. The intuitive spatial arrangement optimizes workflow efficiency, from grape processing to bottling, ensuring seamless operations. The interplay of stone, wood, and aluminum creates a striking yet organic aesthetic, while the interior fosters sensory engagement with wine.
Sustainability is the guiding principle of Gruber Röschitz Winery. The use of local, natural materials reduces the carbon footprint, while the winery’s biodynamic approach safeguards soil health and biodiversity. The design encourages social engagement, fostering a deeper connection between visitors, winemakers, and the land. By creating a space that respects nature and nurtures community, the winery not only produces exceptional wines but also cultivates a sustainable future for generations to come.
